Experimentation workshop 4 - Media (evaluation)
The screening of the collaborative scratch film project arrived. Brian the media technician had painstakingly spliced all the 10 second pieces of film together into a single 15 minute film, and in keeping with the era of scratch film had set it to a traditional pre-war soundtrack.
I was amazed to see how it had come together, although every section was individual and very different - from mixes of colour to miniature animations when it came together especially with the traditional soundtrack, it just blended together brilliantly as one piece.(even though I'm sure my bit was upside down!)
I do believe that the soundtrack brought it all together and I don't think it would have worked any other way, after all we were recreating a pioneering moment within the film industry! Overall I think it was a MASSIVE success.
