Experimentation Workshop 6 - Graphic design

We've done the finger painting, now we're on to tracing (literally!) God we're going up in the world! (can you tell I'm getting fed up?) It began with being shown some bits of paper glued to a (AHEM!)reclaimed roadsign Traced images out of books and off sheets of paper to then copy onto other pieces of paper. Glued images to material, photocopied them onto acetate etc. The only thing missing from the session was a yoghurt pot,the inside of a loo roll and some sticky backed plastic! certainly looking from either a media OR a photographic point of view most graphic design these days is done digitally so I really found it difficult to connect with this activity or it's purpose. We learned how to trace images in primary school!

6 sessions done, now we get to do them all again YIPPEE!
